Graham has extensive experience providing practical, hands-on training courses. He offers training courses in XML, XML editing tools and text processing tools. Graham’s jargon-free and practical approach results in valuable courses.
Introduction to XML training course
The Introduction to XML training course is ideal for people looking for a straightforward beginner’s guide to the language or considering using it in a project. Graham’s course starts by looking at the potential benefits to the client before moving on to theoretical and practical sessions. Where possible, Graham uses client-supplied material so course attendees can work with real-life data.
The Introduction to XML training course is a natural lead-in to the XMetaL and EPIC training courses. As such, its cost is included in the prices of both these courses. If you would like Graham to run just the Introduction to XML course, please get in touch.
XMetaL and XMetaL using the DITA DTD training courses
The XMetaL courses are ideal for editors who have little or no previous experience of these software tools. They are also suitable for managers looking to gain a practical understanding of their capabilities.
The XMetaL training courses are designed to demystify the software and develop users’ confidence. The courses start with an introduction to XML and its benefits in the context of the client’s project. Where possible, Graham uses client-supplied data as sample material.
The XMetaL training courses both cost £850 + VAT. This price includes the Introduction to XML course if required. (Please note that these costs do not include Graham’s travel, accommodation or subsistence.) They can take place at the client’s site or at a venue of their choice.
OmniMark training course
The OmniMark training course is designed to give programmers a basic understanding of OmniMark programming. It can be combined with a day’s consultancy to put the learning into practice. In this instance Graham invites the client to submit a problem which can then be at least partly resolved during the consultancy day.
The OmniMark training course costs £1000. The day’s consultancy costs an additional £600. (Please note that these costs do not include Graham’s travel, accommodation or subsistence.) The training can take place at the client’s site or at a venue of their choice.
Tailor-made courses covering any aspect of XML or text conversion are also available. To discuss your requirements, please get in touch.
